No sound is produced

Check the supplied external speaker is connected to the exclusive speaker terminal of the TV properly.

Is “Sound mute” active? Press MUTE to switch sound mute on or off.

Is the volume set to the minimum?

Check connections and setting of external equipment.

Ensure that Speaker Selection is set to TV.

Watching > For best audio > Volume settings

Functions > VIERA Link “HDAVI Control™” > Speaker Selection

Ensure that TV Speaker Setting is set to TV Speaker.

Sound level is low or sound is distorted

 

Sound signal reception may be poor.

Do not allow the speaker to make contact with the TV and pedestal.

Set MPX in the Sound Menu to Mono. (Analogue)

Unusual sound from the TV

 

When the power is on, whirring sound of cooling fan or drive noise may be heard from inside the TV (not a sign of faulty operation).
